BARRY SINGLETON
Born in Ballarat, Victoria.
Studied at the Ballarat School of Mines and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (sculpture) from 1954-59. Completed teacher training at Technical Teachers College, Melbourne in 1960.
Since 1961 he has taught at Technical Colleges in Warnambool and at Castlemaine where he still resides. In 1976 he travelled to Japan and studied pottery at the Hashima Kiln in Kurashiki under Master Potter Katsu Yasu Ogawara.
He has been represented in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Victoria , South Australia and the ACT since 1970. He is represented in various Regional Galleries, including Bendigo, Castlemaine, Sale and Shepparton.
